Frequently asked questions

Do you sell marijuana seeds now that Recreational Cannabis is legal in many states?

No we don't.

Is hemp a drug?

Although cannabis as a drug and industrial hemp both derive from the species Cannabis sativa and contain the psychoactive component tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), they are distinct strains with unique phytochemical compositions and uses. The legality of industrial hemp varies widely between countries.

Is it legal to grow hemp in the United States?

Hemp in the United States has gone from a legal crop in the 18th and 19th centuries, to a banned substance in the 20th century, and has returned as a legal crop in the 21st century. By 2019, the United States had become the world's third largest producer of hemp, behind China and Canada.

Is Hemp Legal in the United States?

The Hemp Farming Act of 2018, a provision of the 2018 Farm Bill, was signed into law December 20th, 2018. It removes hemp (defined at cannabis with less than 0.3% THC) from Schedule I controlled substances and makes hemp an ordinary agricultural commodity.

Is your seed USDA compliant?

Yes. Our seed is a product of careful selection and breeding towards total THC compliance with industry leading CBD to THC ratios. Due to regional variability of climate and environmental conditions, we urge farmers to closely monitor the potency of their crop as they approach harvest.

What is the average CBD percentage of your genetics?

All our genetics have a baseline ratio of 22:1 (CBD:THC), often exceeding 30:1 at time of harvest. CBD percentage varies greatly across different conditions and most importantly timing of harvest. We advise growers to closely monitor genetic expression in their specific environment to ensure compliance.

What are feminized CBD seeds?

Feminized seeds refer to seeds that are specially bred to eliminate male chromosomes so as to produce only female plants while ensuring the highest CBD rich plants.

Are KMS seeds feminized?

Yes, we only sell feminized seeds. They are 100% feminized. All feminized seeds are specially grown indoor to prevent any cross pollination.

What is germination rate of your seeds?

It varies, but generally our seeds average over 90% germination rate. When you purchase from Kush Master Seed, we provide you with at least 10% extra seed overage to cover the difference.

How many seeds should I plant per acre?

We recommend 2,500 - 3,000 seeds per acre.
